Development Manager Opportunity

The role of Development Manager involves overseeing the development of renewable energy projects in Australia, focusing on wind, solar, and BESS projects from conception to final investment decision. This position will join existing project teams and support the origination of new sites. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Project management and coordination
  2. Leading project teams, facilitating delivery of projects to budget, schedule, and quality
  3. Responsible for work package delivery of specific scopes for Wind, Solar, and BESS projects
  4. Management of external consultants to facilitate project development
  5. Management of projects to budget and agreed timelines

Additionally, the Development Manager will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and maintaining trusting and productive project landowner relationships
  2. Negotiating tenure documents to secure all land required for the project
  3. Assessing the technical and commercial viability of projects and identifying acquisition opportunities
  4. Coordinating the development of project reports and investment cases

For this role, we are seeking a professional with:

  • 6+ years of experience in the renewables energy sector, preferably in large-scale project development
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, town and regional planning, environmental planning, or other relevant field
  • Strong experience in project management within the renewable energy industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
