Job Overview

This role is responsible for leading the development and implementation of an industry-leading ethics and compliance program. The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance to senior leaders and the board on complex matters, ensuring a culture of integrity and accountability throughout the organization.

The Group Director, Ethics & Compliance will drive adoption of Worley's E&C strategy across all regions and business units, fostering a safe, respectful, and values-driven workplace. This involves promoting understanding and consistent application of the Code of Conduct at all levels, as well as establishing a 'Speak up' culture with accessible and trusted mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategy and Culture: Develop and lead the execution of Worley's E&C Strategy, driving adoption across all regions and business units.
  • Foster Ethical Culture: Inspire leaders to champion a safe, respectful, and values-driven workplace, promoting understanding and consistent application of the Code of Conduct.
  • Promote Speak Up Culture: Ensure mechanisms are accessible, trusted, and supported with timely investigations and resolutions.
  • Leadership and Governance: Serve as a trusted advisor to Senior Leaders, the Group Executive, and Board Members on complex E&C matters, providing strategic recommendations based on internal insights and global trends.
  • Monitor Global E&C Program: Accountable for the effective monitoring of the global E&C Program, reporting key metrics, trends, and emerging risks to the Executive Group and the Board.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a global E&C team of approximately 20 professionals, fostering high performance and collaboration.
  • Industry-Leading Guidance: Ensure the team provides industry-leading guidance and support to the business across a wide range of E&C matters.
  • Risk Management: Lead E&C risk assessments during the pre-contract phase, focusing on areas such as sanctions, third-party due diligence, fraud, corruption, integrity, and assurance.
  • Guide Treatment Strategies: Collaborate on human rights assessments, ensuring ethical considerations are embedded in project planning and delivery.
Requirements

A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience is required, including significant management experience. Strong understanding of ethical practices and related laws, excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are essential.

Integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are also required. Proficiency with software applications is necessary. Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources, derive answers, and solve complex problems is crucial.

Excellent writing and analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to present complex proposals to executive leadership are also essential.

A university degree, or equivalent, in a related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience is required.
