About the NSW Electoral Commission
The NSW Electoral Commission is an independent statutory authority that supports the integrity of democratic processes in New South Wales. Accountable to the NSW Parliament through the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters, the Commission is required by legislation to operate independently and impartially and adheres to the public sector values of integrity, trust, service and accountability.
About the Role
The Director, Integrity and Security is a newly created role responsible for leading the strategic and operational delivery of NSWEC's enterprise-wide physical security, information security, and integrity assurance frameworks. This role ensures that the Commission's electoral and other operations, staff, and facilities are able to meet emerging threats and that risks to integrity and security are effectively managed across digital and physical environments. The role also has key responsibilities during election event planning, preparation and delivery, working closely with election operations, cyber security, communications and governance colleagues across the Commission.
Reporting directly to the Assistant Commissioner, Safeguards and Integrity Group, the Director provides authoritative advice to the Electoral Commissioner, senior leaders on organisational security, risk resilience, and assurance. The role plays a pivotal role in maintaining public trust in electoral processes by overseeing the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and responses that uphold the Commission's safety, compliance, and integrity obligations.
The role is an Ongoing full-time position.
