We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on challenging mining projects and contribute to the growth of our business.

About the role

This full-time position will see you providing technical expertise and solutions to ensure the safety and stability of mining projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct geological and geotechnical assessments
  • Ground support analysis and design, including slopes, foundations, underground (tunnels and mines)
  • Review of ground support
  • Design parameter recommendations
  • Foundation analysis
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement mining plans
  • Preparing technical reports and presentations

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil, Mining or Geotechnical Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, preferably within the mining industry
  • Strong technical expertise in soil and rock mechanics, slope stability analysis, and ground support design
  • Proficiency in using geotechnical software and modelling tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental sustainability
