We are seeking an experienced Architectural Designer to lead our residential design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.

About the Role

As a Design Lead, you will oversee the design process for our residential projects, preparing coloured drawings of landscape and interior designs for presentation to clients. You will work closely with sales consultants, site managers, and design consultants to produce and alter drawings.

You will also create and update project drawings lists, analyse building codes and technical documents to determine their effect on architectural designs. Additionally, you will think creatively to support the sales team in the design process.

Requirements and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need at least 1-year experience in design and drafting in the residential building industry. You should have a sound knowledge of the General Housing Code, Australian Standards, BCA, and experience with Sydney Council DCPs.

You will also need experience working in a volume production drafting role while maintaining high accuracy. Proficiency in REVIT is essential, as well as the ability to create presentation drawings with perspectives and preliminary designs or conceptualization of design.
