Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fitness Operations Director to join our team at the YMCA Victoria.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the operations of the South Gippsland SPLASH aquatic centre, providing leadership and vision for the general operations of the facility, as well as playing a broader role within the YMCA Victoria and the South Gippsland Shire Council.

This is a key leadership position that requires strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, stakeholders, and community groups to develop programs and services that meet the needs of the community.

About You
  • You will have a tertiary qualification in Sports Management, Business Management, or a related field, and significant experience in a similar leadership role within the sports and recreation industry.
  • Proven ability to manage risk, foster a culture of safety, and drive business performance through effective project management and financial acumen.
  • Strong general business and financial knowledge, with the ability to engage staff and improve business outcomes.
