Physiotherapist Opportunity in Acute Care

The position offers a challenging and rewarding experience for an experienced physiotherapist to work in the Neuroscience units of St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, providing high-quality care to patients on weekends and public holidays.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering evidence-based physiotherapy management to patients, working independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clinical management for all referred patients
  • Communicating assessment and treatment outcomes to healthcare staff via documentation
  • Offering tertiary-level consultancy services as required
  • Supervising other physiotherapy staff and Allied Health Assistants, when necessary
  • Ensuring accurate handover information for ongoing patient management

The ideal candidate will possess recent experience in acute healthcare settings, particularly neurosurgery, stroke, and neurology. They should demonstrate excellent communication skills, commitment to professional development, and a proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
