Job Summary:
A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Hydraulic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overhauling hydraulic components for surface and underground equipment.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced professional with solid knowledge of hydraulic function and the ability to read hydraulic circuits and interpret schematic drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stripping, rebuilding, and modifying hydraulic components;
- Testing components for accuracy and troubleshooting any faults;
- Maintaining accurate records of parts used and reporting inadequate stock levels;
- Providing assistance to team members and mentoring Apprentice Fitters;
- Ensuring quality and continuous improvement in all tasks.
Essential Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Solid knowledge of hydraulic function and the ability to read hydraulic circuits and interpret schematic drawings;
- Experience in rebuilding and modifying mechanical components;
- Proficiency in machining operations, including lathe and mill operation, and fabrication skills;
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel;
- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering and a current manual driver's license;
- Forklift License and Certificate IV in Fluid Power (desirable).
