Risk Governance Specialist

A leading commodities organization, Perigon Group, is seeking an experienced professional to lead their risk management and regulatory compliance functions. This role is crucial in ensuring the business operates within its risk appetite while supporting overall strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a robust risk governance framework, ensuring alignment with the company's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and monitor risk limits and controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Oversee second-line regulatory compliance responsibilities, including annual compliance plans and training.
- Analyze risk model results to inform business strategy and support decision-making.
- Lead negotiations for master agreements with counterparties, ensuring alignment with the company's credit strategy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance governance frameworks for new products and business lines.
- Develop, mentor, and lead the risk, governance, and compliance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in a commercial or quantitative discipline (e.g., Finance, Economics, Mathematics).
- 5+ years of leadership experience in risk management, governance, or compliance within a commodities environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive strategic outcomes based on risk insights.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams to deliver business objectives.
