Job Title: Customer Engagement Lead

Job Description:

This is a key customer-facing role that drives growth and fosters strategic partnerships within the Building and Construction team.

The ideal candidate is a commercially aware, self-motivated team player who excels at direct stakeholder engagement and is committed to exceeding both customer and business needs.

Key responsibilities include leading customer relationships, managing business development initiatives, implementing effective customer service strategies, and growing the customer base.

The successful candidate will have experience in sales or business development within the commercial construction industry, strong connections with Architects, Design Consultants and Product suppliers, and an understanding of commercial construction processes, building trades and commercial frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and successful project delivery from start to finish.
  • Manage an extensive business development program, including the planning and coordination of corporate events and suites.
  • Implement and maintain effective customer service strategies, providing expert advice and solutions, and guiding the team on tender strategies and "win themes".
  • Manage and grow the customer list, including key stakeholders, and develop strategic engagement plans.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and market developments to identify and act on potential risks and opportunities.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in sales or business development within the commercial construction industry.
  • Strong connections with Architects, Design Consultants and Product suppliers.
  • Understanding of commercial construction processes, building trades and commercial frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
