Spiritual Care Leader Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Spiritual Care Coordinator to deliver a contemporary spiritual care model across our multi-site residential aged care organisation.

This is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people, supporting them to maintain important spiritual connections and receive meaningful and inclusive spiritual care.

As part of our team, you will lead and champion our Spiritual Care Approach, ensuring every individual is supported in mind, body, and spirit. You will introduce and drive continuous improvement in spiritual care practice, including ongoing program monitoring and strategy development.

You will provide vision, direction, and professional guidance to an established team of site-based Spiritual Care Practitioners, and other organisational leaders, through training, coaching and sharing best practice.

About This Role

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive spiritual care program that meets the diverse needs of residents.
  • Lead a team of spiritual care practitioners to ensure high-quality services and support to residents, their families, and carers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate spiritual care into the overall care delivery framework.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective allocation of resources for spiritual care initiatives.

Your Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in theology/ministry, counselling, pastoral care or equivalent from an appropriately accredited program.
  • Capacity to work at Level 3 or 4 of the Capability Framework for Spiritual Care Practitioners.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and administration skills as a Coordinator and/or Senior Spiritual Care Practitioner.
  • A minimum of one-year full-time spiritual care experience upon completing four Clinical Pastoral Education units.
