About the RoleThis is an opportunity to gain extensive experience in indirect tax and advance your career. You will be assisting with the administration and compliance of indirect taxes for a large, complex company based onsite at their corporate office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with GST compliance for the GST Group and various joint venture investments.
  • Preparing FBT returns and maintaining processes and checklists to ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Maintaining accounting and tax records to support monitoring and evaluating business performance.
  • Reconciling BAS payments and refunds, liaising with managers to recommend resolutions for any discrepancies.
  • Maintaining and registering Australian Business Numbers for all group members.
  • Providing ad-hoc indirect tax advice on GST implications affecting new business initiatives, system upgrades, and transactions.
  • Reporting and reconciling PAYG accounts, analysing payroll reports, and performing monthly payroll tax calculations and annual reconciliations.
  • Ensuring Indirect Tax policies and procedures align with the company's Tax Framework.
  • Liaising with the ATO as required.
