Job Description:

  • Lead and supervise the care team, delegating tasks, providing support and guidance, and monitoring performance
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medication, wound care, and other clinical interventions
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
  • Foster a positive and supportive work environment for the nursing team

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Previous aged care experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse working as an After-hours supervisor
  • Availability and reliability to commit to permanent shifts
  • Ability to communicate and build rapport with residents, families, and team members
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge, including medication management, wound care, and other nursing interventions
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centered care and promoting the wellbeing of our residents
