Vice President of Smoking Cessation Services

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who smoke and/or vape to quit. Your responsibilities will include providing supervision to counselors on shift, serving as the first point of escalation for clients and counselors, and delivering telephone counseling to people who smoke and/or vape. You will also provide informational support to carers, family members, and health professionals about cessation care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, deliver evidence-based counseling, refer to other services, and conduct follow-up sessions to maintain client motivation and prevent relapse.
  • Support diverse population groups with varying health conditions; work to maintain high-quality, client-centered service delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate the service; participate in quality improvement activities to ensure our organization is an efficient, evidence-based provider.
Requirements
  • You must have completed at least a 3-year bachelor's degree in counseling, social work or psychology, and a minimum of 3 years' post-clinical experience in counseling, eligible for registration with the relevant peak body.
  • You should have demonstrated experience mentoring and training counselors in a clinical setting.
  • You should be able to remain calm and deliver services with confidence and patience in a high-pressure environment.

This is a full-time position requiring rostered shifts across the hours of operation, including weekends and hours outside business hours. You will be required to backfill shifts as needed.
