Vessel Master 45m Role Overview

As a key member of our marine operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring the safe operation of our vessels.

  • Ensure compliance with all marine standards and operate the vessel in a safe manner.
  • Conduct safety drills and facilitate pre-start talks to share relevant information with the crew.
  • Maintain daily vessel log entries using a maintenance management system.
  • Assist in training and developing both new and existing crew members.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to enhance professional motivation and growth within their role.
  • Delegate and oversee daily duties for assigned vessel crew.
  • Assist with loading and unloading the vessel and provide supervision.
  • Promote a strong customer service focus and culture amongst crew.
  • Encourage a positive safety culture and report incidents/injuries via a dedicated system.
Key Responsibilities
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team with a 'can-do' attitude and proactive approach.
  • Strong customer service skills, tech-savvy and able to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Strong people leadership capabilities to positively influence a team.
  • Hold a relevant Certificate IV in Maritime Operations (Master up to 45m Near Coastal) and other required certifications.
