Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of Person-First Leisure and Lifestyle Programs in our care homes.

As part of your responsibilities, you will manage a team of recreational activity officers responsible for promoting emotional and physical rehabilitation through person-first recreational activities.

You will work closely with other team members to plan and organise all recreational activity programs, ensuring that individual resident's needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account when providing recreational care.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all Recreational Activities Officers with excellent team leadership skills.
  • Providing residents with quality care and actively supporting them to maintain their skill levels, independence and mobility.
  • Ensuring infection control and work health and safety standards are met at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (desirable) or degree level qualifications.
  • Previous experience gained in a similar role, preferably in an aged or community care setting.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate is essential.
  • Highly developed organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to solve problems independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
