We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Transfer Station Operator. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our transfer station.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with customers to coordinate the movement of waste on and off site, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
- Direct traffic within the transfer station and provide general information to customers as required, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Control the placement of waste and recyclables being deposited by customers, maximizing resource recovery and minimizing waste sent to landfill.
- Meet targets for recycling and diversion of waste from landfill, contributing to our company's sustainability goals.
- Perform general labouring and administrative duties as directed, supporting the overall efficiency of the transfer station.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at once, managing competing demands and deadlines.
- Good friendly attitude and willingness to be part of a close-knit team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test, as required by our company's policies.
