About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Network Systems Engineer to join our team in NSW. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the design, delivery, and support of industrial and electrical control solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Safety Plans: Develop and implement safety plans to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Design and Deliver IT and OT Networking Solutions: Design and deliver IT and OT networking and security technical solutions that meet the requirements and scope of the project.
  • Identify and Mitigate Technical Risk: Identify and mitigate technical risk, escalating high-risk items to management.
  • Manage Project Issues: Manage and promptly resolve project issues, including changes to the technical outcomes of the project.
  • Manage Tasks and Budget: Manage and track tasks to complete projects within budget and time constraints.
  • Plan and Manage Quality: Plan and manage the quality of OT and IT networking and security technical deliverables.
  • Adhere to Internal Processes: Adhere to our internal processes and project methodology.
  • Coordinate Technical Team Members: When assigned as a project Technical Lead, you will be accountable for these KRAs for the entire project, including the coordination of other technical team members.
  • Incorporate Security Controls: Incorporate strong security controls and monitoring into the IT and OT infrastructure of the project.
  • Troubleshoot Network and Security Issues: Troubleshoot IT and OT network and security issues of SAGE scope within projects.
Essential Capabilities and Experience
  • Hands-on Experience: 'Hands-on' experience (design, build, configure, troubleshooting, maintaining, upgrading) in OT Systems or similar.
  • Industrial Networks Experience: Experience with industrial networks, including Cisco, Hirschmann, Stratix, Routing, Switching, Firewalls, IoT.
  • Surveillance Systems Experience: Experience with surveillance systems, including Closed Circuit Television Systems (CCTV), Digital Video Management Systems (DVMS), Genetec, Axis, Bosch.
  • Virtualisation and Infrastructure Experience: Experience with virtualisation and infrastructure, including VMware, SAN, Servers, SQL, Windows, Linux.
  • Microsoft Infrastructure Experience: Experience with Microsoft infrastructure, including AD, DC, WSUS.
  • Network, Microsoft, and/or VMWare Qualifications: Network, Microsoft, and/or VMWare qualifications highly desirable, including CCNA, CCNP, VCTA, VCP, VMCE.
  • Industry Experience: Industry experience in roads/tunnels, rail, metro, or similar desirable but not necessary.
  • Transport Systems Experience: Experience with transport systems desirable but not necessary, including OMCS, PMCS, and TMCS.
Key Requirements
  • Qualifications: Appropriate diploma or degree qualifications or verifiable industry experience in the application of IT and/or OT technologies.
  • Desktop and Server Operating Systems Experience: Experience with desktop and server operating systems (including within virtual environments).
  • Software Development Practices: Demonstrable knowledge of good software development practices and principles.
  • Networking Technologies Experience: Experienced in the design and implementation of networking technologies, including network switches, routers, firewalls, and VLANs.
  • IT and OT Security Requirements: Understands IT and OT security requirements, including firewalls, content control, intrusion prevention, vulnerability mitigation, and 2-way authentication.
  • Vendor and Technology Experience: Experience with vendor and other technologies used within the business.
