Disability Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals with complex needs, including those with Autism/ADHD, Mental Health, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disabilities, Young Adults, Dementia & Advance Manual Handling Supports.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience working as a disability support worker, with experience of working with people with high intensity support needs and/or behaviours of concern. They will be able to evidence commitment to the role through ongoing personal development and learning, and demonstrate understanding of compliance requirements and professional boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing high-quality support to individuals with complex needs
  • Assisting with daily living tasks, such as personal care and medication administration
  • Supporting individuals to achieve their goals and participate in community activities
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or issues to management
Requirements:
  • At least 2+ years' experience of working as a disability support worker
  • Experience of working with people with Autism/ADHD, Mental Health, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disabilities, Young Adults, Dementia & Advance Manual Handling Supports
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, Vaccinations (including COVID), CPR & First Aid, right to work in Australia, 100 Points of ID, Driving Licence and access to a reliable car
  • Cert III Individual Supports, Cert IV Disability and/or Mental Health Care Qualification, or equivalent
