About the Role

The Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall integrity and coherence of the project portfolio, ensuring it supports each individual project within it.

Main Responsibilities
  • Plan and design the Corporate Technology project portfolio
  • Provide support to Architecture and Governance to assess business and technical impacts, scope, plan, resource availability and business benefits
  • Ensure that the delivery of initiatives is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time, and within budget, in accordance with the portfolio and project plans and governance arrangements
Key Accountabilities
  • Governance: Take responsibility for the delivery of the Corporate Technology portfolio of projects in accordance with agreed practices; Prepare and maintain an up-to-date Portfolio Plan including schedule, dependencies, budget, resources, annual work plan and budget
  • Safety: Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with policies and procedures ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times; Foster the development of a safety culture through active demonstration and encouragement
  • Vendor Management: Manage all third-party contributions to the portfolio; Assist in facilitating vendor negotiations and establish contracts with third party service providers on behalf of the Portfolio
Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Program and Project Manager with a strong background in technology environments. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of experience in program and project management in a technology environment
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of IT contracting, procurement, legal and commercial processes and practices and the relationship to vendor management processes
  • Strong analytical, budgetary and financial management skills
  • Strong customer focus with a demonstrable high level of integrity and an effective team player
