Maintenance Management Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to manage the maintenance function at a large-scale site. The ideal candidate will have proven engineering and maintenance knowledge, strong leadership skills, and the ability to implement efficiencies.

This opportunity is based in Brisbane and is ideal for candidates looking to relocate for a new role.

  • Permanent, full-time position
  • Competitive salary package
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to policies and procedures, and participate in continual process improvement.
  2. Implement preventative, corrective, and condition-based maintenance systems to ensure plant availability.
  3. Ensure all capital expenditure projects meet maintenance requirements, including spare parts, PM schedules, maintainability, and plant safety.
  4. Maintain effective cost control of maintenance and assist in budget preparation.
  5. Support operational implementation of Quality Management, Food Safety, and Occupational Health and Safety systems.
  6. Ensure maintenance procedures comply with ISO standards.
  7. Ensure all equipment operates within environmental guidelines and lead Environmental Management System efforts.
  8. Ensure plant and equipment safety and compliance with regulations; enforce safe work practices.
  9. Provide leadership and motivation to maintenance employees to meet company objectives and schedules.
  10. Allocate staff efficiently and effectively.
  11. Manage training needs according to planned programs.
  12. Assess current and future staffing needs.
  13. Prepare reports on maintenance activities and maintain records.
  14. Achieve internal customer satisfaction levels.
  15. Participate in regular team meetings and conference calls.

Requirements:

  1. Engineering, Industrial Trade, or related discipline qualification.
  2. 10+ years of industrial site maintenance experience.
  3. Minimum 5-10 years in maintenance management or supervisory roles.
  4. Experience in a Food Manufacturing environment, with experience in flour milling highly advantageous.

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • SAP experience.
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers.
  • Leadership skills to manage maintenance staff and activities.
  • Experience managing small projects and overseeing contractors on major projects.
