IT Support Team Lead

The ideal candidate will lead the provision of technical support to internal staff, leveraging their expertise to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

About the Role

  • A highly experienced IT professional is sought after to join our team in a leadership capacity.

This role requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team while fostering a collaborative environment and prioritizing clear communication and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality customer-focused support services in line with agreed services and SLA's.
  • Enhance operational processes through data-driven insights and best practices.
  • Manage the Service Desk Platform (Manage Engine) to ensure seamless delivery of support services.
  • Develop and implement training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Mentor and develop a team of staff responsible for delivering service support services.
  • Evaluate and escalate unresolved calls to 2nd/3rd line support teams as required.
  • Proactively maintain high-quality customer service by taking ownership of user problems and communicating progress in a timely manner.
  • Analyse IT Service Desk data to identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest system fixes to reduce call demand.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Information Technology or related field.
  • Relevant IT degree/diploma or certification (e.g. ITIL).

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical knowledge into actionable directives.
