Cost Controller

UGL Pty Limited is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join our project team on site in Kwinana, Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and track project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and highlighting variances.
- Process and manage variations and change requests, adhering to the approved change management framework.
- Develop detailed monthly cost impact claims and liaise with the client for approval.
- Review and reconcile weekly timesheets with gate data to ensure accurate labor cost tracking.
- Raise Material Requisitions (MRs) in compliance with UGL's procurement policies and ensure accurate and timely goods receipting.
- Oversee vendor invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Assist with month-end tasks including hours accruals, cost accruals, journal entries, and forecasting.
- Provide cost control support to the Project Controls Coordinator and wider project team as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in cost control, project accounting, accounts payable, or payroll roles.
- Proficiency in SAP and advanced skills in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong understanding of procurement and finance processes, including requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipting, and cost reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
