Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our finance team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clearing and coding transactions, maintaining back accounts and the master banking transactions spreadsheet of periodic transactions
  • Preparing month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, cash position reporting, donations schedule and SCAS reports
  • Assisting in the preparation and distribution of monthly Debtor reports, ensuring customers are correctly invoiced, customer payments are receipted and discrepancies resolved
  • Providing supporting documentation to services for direct entries to bank statements, processing petty cash returns and cheques from services
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with Bank Officers and liaising on banking issues
  • Producing accurate record management and participating in financial audit activities
Requirements:
  • A Certificate IV in Accounting or relevant equivalent qualification or experience
  • A solid understanding of basic accounting and accounts receivable principles
  • Three years' experience in a similar role
  • Experience using D365 and/or another ERP system will be highly regarded
  • A National Police Check or the ability to obtain
