Job Description:

This senior leadership role focuses on spearheading the Lending and Operations team, driving high-performance outcomes that cater to customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a skilled team, developing efficient business practices, and promoting a risk-aware culture.

The team's primary objective is to support Corporate & Institutional Bank customers who enter into bilateral loans for Australia and Asia Branch, as well as syndicated loans where the company participates. They are involved in projects related to the product system LoanIQ and new product initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a 'no surprises' approach within the team by fostering a risk-aware culture.
  • Manage issues impacting customers and business partners through effective CORE (Customer Outcomes & Risk Excellence) strategies.
  • Contribute to daily servicing requirements and suggest ways to improve service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Create a collaborative environment that enables seamless communication across Lines of Business.
  • Oversee deal origination, loan, and settlement processing in LoanIQ.
  • Assist in resolving lending-related queries and reconciliation breaks.
  • Partner with Product, Credit Risk, Finance, and Lending Service teams to ensure customer deliverables are met.
  • Hold monthly 1:1 meetings with direct reports and implement development and succession plans for the team.

Requirements:

  • Five years of banking operations experience, including people leadership with 2 years of experience managing large teams.
  • Degree qualified preferred.
  • Corporate lending experience.
  • LoanIQ and Control IQ experience preferred.
  • Articulate communicator - written and verbal.
  • Leading change mindset.
  • Strategic thinker.
  • Continuous improvement experience.
