Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Disability Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our care community, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to individuals with disabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing daily living tasks, including grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, and transportation. You will work closely with our participants to develop personalized strategies and schedules that cater to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist participants with daily routines, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of care services.
  • Implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans when required, promoting positive outcomes for our participants.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to participants, setting a positive example in their lives.
  • Maintain accurate records of participant interactions, progress, and care plans.

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or relevant qualification highly desirable.
  • Minimum 12 months of paid experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with chronic pain conditions, challenging behaviors, mental health, and neurodiverse support requirements highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in SIL, private residential, and community-based support models.
