Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and ensure the highest standards of food safety, quality, and presentation. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting all foods according to standard recipes, while providing an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure food safety and hygiene practices are upheld in accordance with HACCP principles and local guidelines.
  • Prepare, produce, and present all foods in accordance with identified Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques.
  • Minimize food wastage and optimize kitchen operations.
  • Provide exceptional guest experiences and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop menus, rosters, and other initiatives that enhance the culinary experience.
  • Audit kitchen stock and grocery lines daily and order stock as required.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant trade qualifications in culinary arts or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment, with a focus on food and beverage operations.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • An adaptive mindset and vision to deliver high-quality products.
  • The ability to work a flexible roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
