About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Portfolio Lead to join our team at WorkSafe Victoria. As a key member of our Enterprise Delivery division, you will play a critical role in leading and supporting a team of project delivery professionals to deliver high-quality and timely outcomes for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the ongoing development and promotion of model project management best practices, standards, competencies, behaviours, knowledge, and skills.
  • Provide project management advice and support to Senior Leadership Team and Program Directors within assigned portfolio to ensure the successful delivery of all portfolio initiatives.
  • Build WorkSafe's internal project management and agile capability through recruitment, onboarding, development, and capacity management of project management capability across the practice in line with demand.
  • Lead the provision of project management advice and support to Senior Leadership Team and Program Directors within assigned portfolio to ensure the successful delivery of all portfolio initiatives.
Requirements
  • Experience in leading project management professionals delivering in both traditional and iterative delivery approaches.
  • Proven leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, including coaching, facilitation, influencing, negotiation, and liaising skills.
  • Excellent capability building expertise to build high-performance teams, including defining, shaping, and improving capability that complements the context of enterprise-wide needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish credibility quickly and gain a reputation as a trusted advisor.
