About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team as an Insurance Reinstatement Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to work in a dynamic and growing company, with a strong focus on delivering excellent results.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for attending sites, estimating building reinstatement works, and interpreting scope of works provided by consultants. They will also write scope of works documents when required, work closely with supervisors to achieve set budgets, and build new and leverage existing relationships with key personnel in the insurance industry.

Additionally, they will liaise with clients and insurers, coordinate access to properties with insured parties, engage sub-contractors during quotation stage, and ensure all work conforms to legislative and contractual OH&S requirements. They will also ensure all inspections, certificates, and relevant documentation is signed off.

Key Selection Criteria
  • Proven experience in estimating, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Building trade or construction qualification advantageous
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Drive, energy, and motivation
  • Able to manage multiple and competing priorities
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Able to build strong relationships and empathetic towards client needs
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Excel, Project, and Word
  • Familiarity with OHS practices, legislation, and regulations
  • Familiarity with current market rates and trades
  • Current motor vehicle license
