We are seeking an ambitious and driven individual to join our team in a key role.

This position offers a great opportunity to grow your career in the mining, renewables, and energy sectors by supporting the identification and development of new construction and maintenance opportunities.

You'll work closely with senior team members to gain exposure to industry trends and client needs, helping to turn insights into actionable business opportunities. While prior experience in these sectors is beneficial, we're looking for someone with a keen interest in learning about maintenance and asset life extension strategies, and a proactive attitude toward building client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account management - managing relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, devising / implementing sales strategies, and negotiating contracts.
  • Market intelligence gathering - develop market research methods and indicators to identify major prospects.
  • Assess potential sales and marketing opportunities in the area and recommend the allocation of financial and human resources for turning these opportunities into achieved sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing, proposals, estimating, and operational teams to align business objectives and deliver on customer needs.
  • Co-ordinate and contribute to the development of winning proposals, including liaising with key internal stakeholders to gain business support and setting strategies that will ensure tender success.
  • Development of opportunity capture plans and tender win strategies.
  • Development and management of client relationships through Early Contractor Involvement processes.

Requirements

  • Extensive industry experience is a key requirement.
  • Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • In-depth understanding of operations, including business, contracts, and services, both at the strategic and operational levels.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the industry and market sectors in which we operate, with awareness of key clients, competitors, industry trends, and economic drivers that influence business development.
  • Proven expertise in client relationship management, with a focus on fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, particularly Salesforce.
