Assistant Manager Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a designated Food & Beverage outlet. You will work closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

About the Role:

The Assistant Outlet Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable operation of our venue. You will lead by example, set high service standards, and foster a positive, guest-focused culture.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the designated Food & Beverage outlet
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Lead, motivate, and support a high-performing team
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and development of staff
  • Create and optimise rosters to meet service and budget targets
  • Drive revenue opportunities through promotions and upselling
  • Maintain cost control to maximise profitability
  • Ensure compliance with service standards, policies, and legal requirements

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar hospitality or operational leadership role
  • Proven ability to perform in high-volume, fast-paced environments
  • Bar and barista skills highly desirable
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Experience in rostering, ordering, and stock control
  • Proficiency with POS systems
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Immaculate personal presentation and professionalism
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
  • Current Responsible Management of a Licenced Venue certification (desirable)
