Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Management Specialist within the Royal Australian Army Pay Corps, you will play a pivotal role in providing financial technical advice to the Army, ensuring compliance to financial policy and supervising the collection of resource and financial management information for further analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing the provision of advice to commanders in the area of financial management of Public Moneys
  • Overseeing the preparation of budgets, financial statements, cash flow analysis, accrual accounting, costings and financial analysis
  • Managing the development and implementation of financial management Systems
  • Deploying as a Financial Adviser on Exercises and United Nations and other overseas military operations
  • Coordinating the training and development of personnel for employment in Field Cash Offices
  • Providing the provision of advice and assistance to units in the areas of Non Public Moneys accounting, including liaison and training
  • Managing the audit of Non Public Moneys Accounts and the conduct of fraud investigations
  • Providing the provision of advice and assistance to units and members in the areas of pay and allowances
