Chaplain Role

As a Chaplain, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives. This role involves connecting with individuals who are struggling with personal challenges and providing them with support and hope.

The Chaplain will work closely with clients to build relationships, foster resilience, and empower them to explore future goals and confront personal challenges.

  • Be available to listen to community members who need someone to talk to about their personal issues and circumstances
  • Provide care, information, and support to empower individuals to explore future goals, grow, and confront personal challenges
  • Comply with core responsibilities set out in child and youth safe policies to practice as required by the role
  • Assist access to external support services and resources as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and community groups
  • Provide pastoral care, support, and advocacy to vulnerable populations
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities for client growth and development

Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in chaplaincy, CPE, or ministry, or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • A deep understanding of the needs of target populations and the ability to work sensitively with diverse groups
  • Demonstrated professional approach, including maintaining boundaries and confidentiality
  • Ability to work cross-denominationally while maintaining a commitment to biblical principles
