Exchange Consultant Role

We are seeking an experienced Exchange consultant to work on a range of projects, from planning to execution. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 and Exchange Server architecture, as well as experience with migrations, PowerShell scripting, and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Migrate Exchange servers to the cloud, ensuring seamless data transfer and minimal downtime
  • Develop and implement automation scripts using PowerShell to enhance administrative efficiency
  • Provide expert consulting services to clients on Exchange and Microsoft 365 applications, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Microsoft 365 solutions with existing On-Premises infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for clients on Microsoft 365 applications, including best practices and advanced features
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Microsoft 365 and Exchange technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement
Required Skills & Expertise:
  • Deep knowledge of Exchange Server architecture, including mailbox databases, transport services, and high availability
  • Proven experience in Exchange migrations, including staged migrations and hybrid configurations
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administrative tasks, including mail flow coexistence and free/busy sharing
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 admin center, Exchange admin center, and Entra ID (Azure AD), including user management, group policies, and security settings
  • Knowledge of Exchange Online Protection (EOP) and Defender for Office 365, including threat intelligence and incident response
  • Experience setting up and managing Hybrid Exchange environments using the Hybrid Configuration Wizard (HCW)
  • Understanding of mail flow coexistence, free/busy sharing, and hybrid identity models, including single sign-on and conditional access
  • Strong experience with other Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, OneDrive, and MS Teams
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving, including root cause analysis and resolution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including agile methodologies and Scrum principles
Certifications:
  • NV1 Security Clearance is mandatory for this role
  • Microsoft Certified: Exchange Online Administrator Associate is desirable
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals is desirable
  • Microsoft Certified: Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert is desirable
