Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Research Fellow, Teaching & Pharmacology to join our team. This is a full-time (35 hours a week) 3-Year Convertible Tenure Track appointment. The successful candidate will have expertise in pharmacology and be able to apply new and emerging techniques to address significant health issues. Our current interests include fundamental molecular pharmacology, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal & urogenital pharmacology, neuropharmacology, and ageing.
The role will involve research leadership, high-level communication skills, experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level, and evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A PhD in a related discipline (e.g. pharmacology), and/or relevant work experience
- Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact
- Expertise in one of the emerging areas of pharmacology is desirable
- High level communication skills with demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
