Your Role

As a Senior Engineering Manager - Chapter Area Lead, you will be responsible for driving Dev Sec Ops strategy and leading a team of engineers. You will play a key role in steering the organization by providing expert advice on technology, solution design, and architecture. You will also be responsible for shaping the platform by contributing to the technology strategy, drafting quarterly crew memos, prioritizing the backlog, defining delivery roadmaps, and deciding which problems to invest in solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing engineering team with a solid technical background.
  • Contribute to the Engineering Management Practice by coaching and mentoring engineers and raising the bar for the discipline across the organization.
  • Promote open communication and create a safe working environment where engineers' voices are heard.
  • Effectively communicate engineering practice standards and consistent ways of working across squads and the organization.
  • Drive operational excellence and support teams in charge of mission-critical production services with diverse stakeholders and complex dependencies.
  • Encourage risk-taking and constructively challenge the status quo while influencing stakeholders and building diverse and inclusive teams.
Requirements
  • Broad technical expertise including the ability to understand complex environments and languages.
  • Experience defining and building secure web and microservices REST API.
  • Excellent understanding of large-scale distributed systems, integration, and cloud technology.
  • Establish new ways of working and promote a Dev Sec Ops culture of CI/CD pipelines and automation supported by world-class tools.
  • Experience in designing and operating highly available systems in a cloud environment - AWS preferred.
