The delivery of a major rail infrastructure project in Western Sydney presents an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the success of this landmark initiative.
As part of the project's rail safety management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with legislative and project requirements, providing accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders, and maintaining high standards of rail safety performance.
About The RoleThis role is responsible for providing administrative support to the rail safety team, including word processing, presentation preparation, spreadsheets, meeting and workshop management, and schedules.
You will lead, coordinate, and coordinate weekly, monthly, and annual reporting requirements for rail safety and meet ONRSR reporting obligations.

- Conduct research on subjects, technologies, practices, and procedures as directed.
- Coordinate meetings and conferences, including venue bookings, arranging attendees and equipment, agenda and/or minute preparation, travel/accommodation arrangements.
- Project support for training requirements.
- Conduct data analysis to monitor, assess, and report on trends that will form part of reporting obligations.
- Contribute to achieving best practice in the smooth, efficient, and responsive delivery of all administrative support functions, document management, and projects.
- Communicate effectively with management, staff, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure a productive and harmonious teamwork environment.
- Experience in an administrative, reporting, or compliance role—rail or transport industry experience highly regarded.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of rail safety legislation, standards, and compliance processes (desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to a significant rail infrastructure project in Western Sydney.
- Work within a collaborative, safety-focused environment on a major transport project.
