About This Role

This pivotal position is responsible for overseeing the full procurement lifecycle, from supplier sourcing to contract negotiation and vendor management. The ideal candidate will bring a strong strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and experience in leading high-performing teams.


Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the procurement function, developing and implementing effective strategies to drive cost savings and efficiency.
  • Authorise supply contracts, corrective actions, and supplier engagement strategies in line with company standards.
  • Oversee tender preparation, proposals, contract execution, and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Drive vendor analysis and cost reduction initiatives to improve overall efficiency.
  • Manage ingredient sourcing for the manufacturing process, ensuring accuracy in pricing, stock levels, and timeframes.
  • Implement reporting mechanisms for raw material usage and procurement metrics.
  • Conduct technical and process analysis to identify improvements, advising senior management on strategies.
  • Develop and implement innovative procurement tools and systems.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing and logistics, preferably within FMCG or multi-site manufacturing.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in projecting commodity usage and financial outcomes through strong data and analytical skills.
  • Strong business, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to influence and manage change.
  • Proven negotiation skills with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities.
