Job Title: Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at a global leader in risk management. This role will be based in Melbourne and requires a hybrid work model with a minimum of two to three days per week in the office.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy travelling and have a passion for safety. The Senior OHS Specialist will be responsible for leading a team of consultants to deliver practicable solutions to identify and mitigate risks for clients.

The successful candidate will work closely with client counterparts, workplace managers, and internal teams to deliver professional and technical OHS advice and guidance to clients' workplaces to meet their strategic safety objectives.

  • Develop and mentor OHS consultants to deliver consistent and high-quality outcomes for client bases.
  • Lead operational oversight to allocated portfolios of client workplaces, ensuring compliance with operational processes.
  • Collaborate with internal client teams to strategically manage workloads for allocated portfolios.
  • Maintain strong day-to-day relationships with clients and client executives on projects.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in WHS advisory or a related field.
  • A Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
  • A high level of safety hands-on technical experience.
  • Experience in people management and leadership, including mentoring, developing and guiding more inexperienced consultants.
