Job Overview:

This role is an opportunity to provide day-to-day care, supervision and transport to children and young people in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of life skills in children and young people through participation in activities and provision of individualized care plans.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with children and young people, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes social growth and well-being.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans for each child or young person, ensuring their needs are met and progress is monitored.
  • Assist children and young people in developing and maintaining social skills, promoting independence and confidence.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Certificate 4 in Community Services, Youth Work, Mental Health, or similar field, demonstrating relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Possess a current First Aid and CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including sleepovers and active nights, as part of a dynamic team.
  • Prior experience working with children or young people, preferably in a residential setting.
