Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a Residential Support Worker. You will be working directly with children and young people in a 24/7 residential setting, providing day-to-day care and supervision, and transporting them to activities and appointments.

You will also be responsible for actively participating in activities designed to increase competencies of young people, forming and maintaining professional and nurturing relationships, developing and implementing individual plans, and supporting the child/young person to develop and maintain social skills.

In addition, you will be required to maintain progress notes and report writing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day care and supervision to children and young people
  • Transport children and young people to activities and appointments
  • Participate in activities designed to increase competencies of young people
  • Form and maintain professional and nurturing relationships
  • Develop and implement individual plans
  • Maintain progress notes and report writing
Requirements
  • Certificate 4 in Community Services, Youth Work, Mental Health, or similar
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Able to work various shifts, including sleepovers and active nights
  • Prior knowledge and/or experience working with children or young people
