We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team in the role of Residential Youth Support Worker. This position presents an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people involved in the Child Protection system.
You will be part of a supportive team that provides a safe and nurturing environment for children and young people. Your presence and story can have a profound effect on a young person's life.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing emotional and practical support to young people – offering a listening ear and assistance when needed.
- Fostering personal growth and well-being – helping them develop skills, confidence, and a positive outlook on life.
- Managing behind-the-scenes tasks – taking care of day-to-day administration and ensuring the household runs smoothly.
- Creating a positive environment – maintaining a welcoming, stable, and supportive space for everyone.
- Ensuring a nurturing home environment, including cooking nutritious meals and promoting healthy eating habits.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or a similar qualification plus completion of required units).
- A valid driver's license.
- Working with Children Check, Criminal History Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- A genuine passion for helping young people thrive and a caring heart.
- Empathy and ability to connect with young people in a non-judgmental way.
- Strong emotional self-regulation skills – providing stability and consistency to those in your care.
