About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Manager Lawyer to join our team at TPD Compensation Lawyers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing our Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) practice area, including related business activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow and manage the TPD portfolio, including related business activity.
  • Focus on expanding services to all Australian jurisdictions, starting in Victoria.
  • Manage the productivity of the business with the full support of stakeholders.
  • Recruit and manage a team of support staff, including training and development.
  • Carry out full-spectrum case management, including delegation of files.
  • Take on new and established cases, running them from inception to settlement with a newly created support team.
Requirements
  • Experience working for Plaintiffs as a lawyer in the personal injury sector, with a current Practising Certificate from the Victorian Legal Services Board & Commissioner.
  • Experience with TPD and insurance matters is essential.
  • Knowledge of personal injury law pertaining to TAC, WorkCover, Medical Negligence, and Public Liability.
  • Experience in business management is highly desirable.
  • Build and effectively manage relationships with team and key contacts.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good investigation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to self-manage, prioritise, and time manage multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
