We are seeking a Project Controls Systems Specialist to drive the success of our transport infrastructure projects, where we are transforming Victoria's transport future with one of the state's most ambitious infrastructure undertakings.

About the Opportunity

This is a permanent, full-time role in a hybrid work model with access to a range of flexible working arrangements. As a Project Controls Systems Specialist, you will be pivotal in ensuring our systems are robust, reliable, and ready for action.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and enhance the Project Controls systems and tools.
  • Ensure the integrity and reliability of the Project Controls systems and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
  • Gather requirements for the implementation and improvement of the Project Controls system including configuration, design, user acceptance testing and training activities.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the organisation to identify opportunities for improving the performance of the Project Controls systems.
  • Assist in the generation of reports during project reporting periods, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of data.
Requirements

Extensive experience in delivering project controls services for complex, large-scale projects combined with a strong interest in data analysis, analytics, and reporting.

  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills to address problems, identify creative ideas linking to innovation, pay attention to fine details, identify gaps in information and consider practical aspects of plans and activities.
  • Ability to listen to customers, refine business requirements, and define and design technical solutions to help the business meet its objectives within the agreed enterprise architecture.
  • Ability to set clearly defined objectives and priorities, regularly review and adjust them, establish systems and procedures to guide work and track progress, recognise actual and potential barriers and determine ways to overcome them.
  • Ability to manage incidents and gather information and assess issues from multiple angles to devise practical solutions in a timely manner, understand and meet stakeholders' fundamental needs within their organisational contexts and innovatively resolve their issues to achieve outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with business stakeholders, and provide training and support to users on system and reporting tools.
