This truly is a unique opportunity for candidates looking to secure their future with a Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Overhead qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General labouring work as required (i.e. load/unload trucks, digging trenches).
  • Support for Crew Leaders and crews as instructed.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams and drawings.
  • Climbing poles and working on EWP's.
  • Fault find on low voltage and high voltage networks.
  • Work under direction of Lineworkers and Senior Lineworkers to ensure practical knowledge is gained.
  • Work at heights on overhead wiring, under the general intermittent supervision of an authorised Lineworker.

Requirements:

  • Keen interest in the electrical distribution industry.
  • Willingness to travel and work in different locations.
  • Commitment to learning and professional growth.
  • Ability to effectively work as part of a team.
  • Completed year 12 or equivalent.
  • Minimum MR/HR driver's licence.
  • Construction industry white card.
  • Capable of obtaining High Risk Work Licences (Elevating Work Platform, Dogging and/or Rigging)

About the Role

As an Electrical Linesperson Apprentice, you will be responsible for performing a range of tasks including general labouring work, supporting crew leaders and crews, reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and drawings, climbing poles and working on elevated work platforms, fault finding on low voltage and high voltage networks, working under the direction of lineworkers and senior lineworkers, and working at heights on overhead wiring.
