Lead Rail Civil Engineering Construction Expert

We seek a seasoned professional to oversee the successful delivery of rail civil engineering and construction projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, team leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and execute project execution plans, manage risks, allocate resources, and ensure timely completion
  2. Oversee project teams, delegate tasks, motivate, and coach local team members
  3. Monitor and improve network availability, reporting progress against baselines for cost, quality, and schedule
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders at national and international levels, resolving conflicts and managing expectations
  5. Ensure compliance with European regulations and directives for railway construction, safety, and interoperability where required

The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in railway civil engineering and construction supervision, with a focus on alignment, geotechnical engineering, and trackwork. Familiarity with Greek administrative business standards is also essential. A mid-senior level professional with a degree in civil engineering, project management, or similar, and relevant professional experience in a comparable complex role, is sought after.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in similar roles
  • Certification in project management such as PMP
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in leadership
  • Impartial moderation skills, intercultural sensitivity, and fluency in English mandatory
