IT Support Technician Role

We are seeking an experienced IT support technician to join our team on the Sunshine Coast.

  • This role is responsible for providing technical support, software support, hardware support, network management, and administration for all customers on the Sunshine Coast.
About the Job
  • Perform onsite break-fix repairs to customers' equipment, working closely with our lead technician.
  • Assist with scheduling technicians and following up with customer requests in times of high volume.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide break/fix on-site hardware repairs and support to customers on a range of computer equipment.
  • Complete repairs within contracted service level agreements with a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various equipment, including printers, MFDs, and network equipment.
  • Manage allocated spare parts and troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
  • Reinstall software and reimage systems.
  • Provide outstanding levels of customer service and perform other duties as may reasonably be required.
Requirements
  • A+ certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in repairing laptop, tablet, and desktop break fix.
  • Printer repair experience.
  • Good knowledge of MS software and configuration/installation, including general knowledge of IT troubleshooting.
  • Ability to test and certify PCs, tablets, and laptops.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to operate independently with minimum direct supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong customer focus.
  • Good time management skills and ability to complete tasks within a timeframe.
  • Flexibility to work across the Sunshine Coast and potentially assist Brisbane and Gold Coast technicians.
  • High attention to detail and a valid Australian driver's license.
  • Your own reliable, well-maintained vehicle.
Preferred Skills
  • Hands-on Linux experience.
  • Up-to-date Microsoft Certified Cloud or On-Premises style certification.
  • Web development skills and the ability to work with WordPress.
  • Some sales experience would be desirable.
