Senior Workplace Relations Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our workplace relations strategy, leveraging their expertise in employment laws and employee relations.

  • Possess significant senior-level experience in workplace relations, with a strong understanding of employment laws and employee relations issues.
  • Negotiate multiple enterprise agreements, ideally covering large workforces, and play a lead role in bargaining and execution.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Fair Work Act and Fair Work Commission practice and procedure.
  • Show ability to balance legal/compliance issues with commercial business needs and practical implications.
  • Exhibit strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.

In this 24-month fixed-term role, you will have the opportunity to drive business growth and career development while working in a dynamic environment that values diversity and inclusivity. Based in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Sydney, you will be part of a collaborative team that fosters innovation and creativity.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing strategic guidance on complex workplace relations matters across the organisation.
  2. Advising on enterprise bargaining, employment compliance, and major workplace changes to proactively manage business and industrial risks.
  3. Leading and managing the end-to-end enterprise bargaining processes to ensure high-quality agreements that serve business objectives and align with organisational values.
  4. Designing creative solutions to address risk issues, including identifying risks and opportunities within the organisation to enhance processes and systems.
  5. Establishing strong working relationships with unions, employee representatives, and key stakeholders to positively influence business decisions and enhance workforce processes and practices.
