Heavy Diesel Fitter Role

The Heavy Diesel Fitter plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of heavy machinery.

About the Job:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy diesel equipment, including drills, excavators, and haul trucks.
  • Identify and rectify faults during inspections and following specific maintenance programs.
  • Update work procedures to ensure they are accurate and relevant to equipment.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis and resolution of issues affecting equipment reliability.
  • Foster a focus on safety, achievement, and team engagement in all aspects of work.
About You:
  • Australian Recognised Heavy Mechanical Qualifications.
  • Strong technical/mechanical skills with Liebherr, CAT, Cummins, and/or Epiroc.
  • Demonstrated diagnostics and breakdown experience with both trucks and ancillary equipment.
  • Dogging, Rigging, and Forklift Licenses are desirable.
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail and procedure.
  • Computer literacy and/or experience in 1SAP.
  • A proactive approach to safety.
