A dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist is required to join a highly regarded Welsh organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play a key role within the accounts payable processes. Reporting into the Transactional Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Process high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Match, batch and code invoices in line with company procedures.
- Reconcile supplier statements, identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare payment runs and ensure suppliers are paid within agreed terms.
- Deal with supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the month-end process, including accruals and prepayments where required.
- Assist with implementing process improvements across the transactional finance function.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
We are seeking an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working in a team-focused environment and has strong experience within purchase ledger or accounts payable. You will bring a keen eye for detail, the ability to work to deadlines and a confident approach to dealing with both internal colleagues and external suppliers.
- Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable role is essential.
- Strong systems skills, including MS Excel; experience with ERP/finance systems desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
